Grand County Contacts

This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, pull official booking records, or change a court or jail record. Use the offices below for official Grand County, Colorado custody and release questions.

Jail and Sheriff Records

For a Grand County jail release, start with the Sheriff's Office or Detention Facility. The county research identifies one local jail, the Grand County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility in Hot Sulphur Springs. Records requests go through Sheriff's Office Records Management and must include photo identification.

The records page lists a $15 processing and dissemination fee per request and a $47 per hour research fee after the first hour. Requests may be sent by email, fax, or in person, and the county says most requests are met within three business days unless more research is needed.

Court and Probation Contacts

Court records can explain why jail custody ended. Use them for bond orders, sentencing, probation terms, dismissals, revocations, and other case events. Probation is separate from parole; Grand County probation is a Colorado Judicial Branch function.

State, Federal, and ICE Routing

A Grand County case can move out of the local jail lane. If a person was sentenced to state prison, transferred to federal custody, or moved into immigration custody, the local jail may not be the final record holder.

Use Parole / Probation for supervision routing, Inmate Release Date for projected or scheduled release questions, and VINELink Release Check for custody-alert setup.
